Jennifer Pope Baker launched MVP Giving, Inc. in 2024, following more than three decades of philanthropic leadership, including significant work with professional athletes, their families and local franchises.
Jennifer is known as an accomplished, trailblazing executive with an entrepreneurial spirit and extensive experience in developing transformational strategies through her visionary leadership; she is regarded and sought after for her ability to uncover ideas and opportunities obscured to others and translate these into groundbreaking change and revolutionary strategy. Jennifer cultivates trusted business partnerships and stakeholder relationships at all levels and is known as a collaborative, innovative leader who builds high-performing, empowered teams focused on achieving short- and long-term goals and objectives. She champions ideas from concept to reality and unites disparate individuals/teams to consensus and collaboration and instills a culture of trust and kindness while fostering continuous philanthropic development and community engagement.
Jennifer’s experience is grounded in the twenty-four years she served as the first chief executive of Women’s Fund of Central Indiana and built the organization from an interesting notion to a formidable force for change. She directed all aspects of the Fund with hands-on management of governance, nominating, administration and finance; she created and scaled key fundraising strategies for annual operating support, event sponsorship, donor-advised funds, planned gifts and endowed assets, while cultivating and leveraging a deep network of influential relationships to realize sustainable and transformational change for women and girls in the state of Indiana.
Jennifer has been a frequent expert guest speaker at local, national and international forums on women/girls, philanthropy, emotional well-being and economic mobility at venues including: The White House, Clinton Global Initiative, Campaign to Change Direction, Women in the Forefront of Conservation, Big Ten Women’s Basketball Championship, Butler University’s Lacy School of Business, DePauw University and had recurring television appearances on Inside Indiana Business.
Jennifer walks her talk and engages deeply in her community and is guided by her philanthropy plan for charitable giving and commitment to volunteer work on boards, local organizing committees and major events in Indianapolis. Her relevant community leadership includes:
